“As designers it’s our job to anticipate how people will be feeling in the coming season. For our S/S’23 collection a simple idea of what people would be seeking in summers started our design process and hence Hiatus: Seeking Cool came to inception.” Aditi Khorana, Head Designer

The idea of seeking a cooling break took us to deserts and we started to study the way desert dwellers keep themselves cool. As Oceedee has been inspired by architecture marvels numerous times for our designs, this time as well we looked at Persian Desert Architecture. This kind of architecture, also known as ‘Earth Architecture’, is cooling in nature. The Windcatchers of Yazd became the primary source of deriving the silhouettes of this collection. 

Hiatus emulates a soothing summer spirit containing designs with flowy lines interwoven with soft edges and ample amounts of cutouts drawn from windcatcher motifs.

Handcrafted by our artisans using age-old leather working techniques Hiatus is a curated collection of nine styles. Tender, gentle and ethereal are essential components of the SS’23 collection. Our team is dedicated to bringing fresh ideas and cutting-edge designs to the table. After hours of sketching, illustrations and prototyping, the design team has developed a relaxed and enchanting new range. By pushing the boundaries of traditional design, we create unique and captivating products that capture the attention of consumers. Our approach is to combine function, style and aesthetics, resulting in products that not only look good but perform exceptionally well.

The idea of dreaming opens up a multiverse of possibilities and by immersing ourselves in the refreshing chill of nature, we find a renewed sense of peace and vitality. Taking a break becomes essential, whether you're looking to unwind and relax or seeking adventure and exploration, a vacation can provide the perfect escape from the gray offices.
